Do I need a domain name before I get a website?

No. When you sign up, you choose what are called an ID and a password. The ID serves 2 purposes. 1 - you use it (along with your password) to perform various functions, one of which is putting up data on your website. 2 - as soon as you get your ID, your Internet address becomes www.multiwebsites.com/yourid. People can get to your website by entering www.multiwebsites.com/yourid, and there's no need to get your own domain name if you don't want to.

Is there a charge for designing a website?

No. That's because our websites are predesigned. All you have to do is pick one. If you have a design in mind that we don't already have, we might consider designing it for you free of charge if we feel it's general enough for us to add it to our website format list. Otherwise, we might consider doing it for a fee, depending on our workload at the time.

How do I link from my MultiWebsites website to another website?

When you're typing your text data to be uploaded, whether you're typing it online or into a text file that you're planning to upload, type in the following:

linksite:www.anotherdomain.com[Click here to go to the other domain]

The above link will cause someone who clicks anywhere on the phrase "Click here to go to the other domain" to be linked to that other website. How do I get a domain name?

There are several companies with which you can register a domain name with. Here are just a few: First, you have to see if the domain name you want is available. Most, if not all, domain registration companies have, what's called, "whois." Clicking on their "whois" allows you to find out if a name is available and, in some cases, it tells you who owns the name.
